  Dear Parents/Carers,
  
  Viking Discovery Day - Thursday 6th December 2018
  
  This half term, Autumn 1:2 2018, Year 5 have been learning about Vikings as part of the curriculum and the University of Nottingham have invited us to spend the day with them and learn even more about Vikings on Thursday, 6th December 2018. 
   
  The children will attend two workshops, Childhood to Youth and Adulthood to End of Life, that will provide great insights into the lives of Vikings, which I know the children will thoroughly enjoy. The children will also get to take a tour of the university campus which will be a great opportunity for the children to learn more about university life.
   
  Children will need to come to school at the usual time of 09:00 a.m. and they will travel to and from the event by coach. Your child will arrive back at school for approximately 14:45 p.m.

  Dear Parents/Carers,

   

  RE: Non Uniform Day on Friday, 23^rd November 2018

   

  As Christmas is now approaching we are starting to organise the Broomhill Christmas Fayre and as part of this we are having a non-uniform day on Friday, 23^rd November 2018.

  Instead of a cash donation we would like to ask you to donate a new, sealed bottle item (e.g. bubble bath, sauces or drinks) or a soft toy. These items will be used on our stall at the Christmas Fayre.

  All money raised will go towards our school fund which helps pay for school trips, resources and productions.
