Governors
The governing body is the strategic decision-making body our school. Governors have a crucial role in making sure every child gets the best possible education.
The role of our Governing Body is to:
- set the school’s strategic direction
- hold the head teacher to account for a school’s performance
- ensure that the school’s budget is properly managed
Our Governing Body meets at least once a term. We have a Business Committee to look at more detailed aspects of the work of the school to enable Governors to make well informed decisions. The Business Committee meet once every term also. All Governors have voting rights on both the Business Committee and Full Governor's Committee.
Our Instrument of Governance was agreed and came into effect on 20th June 2015, stating that the total number of Governors is ten. This consists of:
- 2 x Parent Governors
- 1 x Local Authority
- 1 x Staff Governor
- 1 x Head Teacher
- 5 x Co-opted Governors
